One of the most mesmerizing rituals at Pashupatinath Temple is the Pashupati Bagmati Aarati. Bagmati is the holy river that flows through the temple. The river divides the temple into two sides, with the main Pashupatinath Temple being on one side and the location of this Aarati on the other.Bagmati has great importance in Hindu religion. It is believed that taking a holy bath on this river washes away sins. Aarati is a ritual of worship in which light from wicks soaked in ghee (purified butter) is offered to God.

The Kirateshwar Mahadev Temple is located within the Pashupatinath area. It is situated between Pashupatinath and Gujeshwori, on the west branch of the River Bagmati. The highlight here is not just the temple, but also the full-moon classical music concerts that happen every full-moon night.Kirateshwar Sangeet Ashram organizes these concerts. The Kirateshwar Sangeet Ashram is a music institution that teaches classical music. It was established in 1991 AD (2048 BS). The full moon concert is one of the activities of the Ashram. Other activities include teaching vocals and musical instruments, competitions among the students, and so on.
